Bring soldiers home from failed war

For three years, our soldiers and nation have been betrayed by the administration and Congress. The State of the Union speech repeated the failed policies of unnecessary war, perpetual violence and insane arrogance.
There remains no plan for peace, none to return Iraqi lands taken for permanent air bases and corporate oil and none to allow any Iraqi army to ever stand on its own.
The rhetoric means only unending years, tears, suffering and fatal harm for those sent. It means nothing to those who stay at home and taunt faraway peoples with violence, abuse and occupation.
We must demand that Iraq be returned to its people now, and that our soldiers — all — be returned home to families now. Otherwise, the administration will find other lands to destroy and exploit. Osama is banking on that.
As a member of Military Families Speak Out, I know that our soldiers are our family. We must respect and take care of those who defend this nation, that they not be misused to occupy another nation for lobbied politicians.
