MFSO Member Maureen Hearn Tried to Speak to the St. Patrick's Day Breakfast in Boston where politicians gathered to laugh and joke - on the 3rd anniversary of the war.

Here is a copy of what I planned to say to our representatives at the Saint Patrick's Day Breakfast at the Boston Convention Center before I was thrown out.

Having a daughter in harm's way in Iraq is a mother's worst nightmare. Every day of my life, I live with fear and anxiety for Kathleen's safety and welfare. This war is killing and injuring our family members and fellow citizens. Our troops have already done far more that should ever have been asked of them.
I call upon all of you as the representatives of the people to oppose this illegal, preemptive war. When can the people of Massachusetts count on you to stand up and say BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!

I asked for one minute of time to speak to our politicians in the convention center who were there for 3 hours to laugh and joke. I was thrown out before I got to speak. I guess the laughter and jokes were more important to their political careers than the lives of our family members that are at risk every minute that they remain in Iraq.
