Hundreds of Military and Gold Star families from across the nation participated in regional demonstrations opposing the war in Iraq on October 27th, organized by United for Peace and Justice.

On November 9-11, MFSO members from all over the country came to Washington DC to deliver petitions to the Pentagon and to Congress calling for an end to the Back Door Draft and for all our troops to be brought home now. On Veterans Day, we created a display on the National Mall consisting of 2,844 flags representing the US troops who have died in the war in Iraq and photos representing the hundreds of Iraqis who have died.

On April 1st, 2006, Military Families Speak Out members from our Georgia chapter joined others to speak out against the war.

Across the country displays have been developed to honor the fallen and underscore the cost of the war in lives lost. MFSO members have been involved several of these.

On the 4th Anniversary of the Iraq War, MFSO joined with IVAW, the Appeal for Redress and Veterans For Peace to call for Congress to Fund our Troops and De-fund the War.
